Ice skating was lots of fun and really tough. I didn't fall down and I don't think the dad did either but the boy was on his bottom a few times. Lots of fun though and the boy loved that he was on the same ice as the hockey players.

Kindergarten Christmas Program
The Kindergarten classes put on a Christmas program every year. The kids had lots of fun practicing and they sounded so good the night of the performance. All the classes sang a few songs together and each class had there own song to sing as well. The boy even had a microphone part when it was his classes turn. I was such a proud mama. My boy loves to sing.

The Changing Santa Claus
The boy was quite inquisitive about Santa this year. He and I were walking in the mall a few weeks ago and we spotted Santa as he was posing for pictures $$. The boy turned to me and said "Mom, I'm confused. This morning Santa was at my school and he looked nothing like that Santa. How does Santa keep changing bodies?" What a loaded question for a 5 year old. We walked along in silence until I could give him an answer. Here is what I told him......Santa is a really busy man helping his elves make the toys so he sends special people out to "stand in" for him so that everyone can say hi and take pictures. Each "Santa" has a direct link to the real one so they can tell him everything. The real Santa does come help sometimes though but it is so hard to know who the real one is that we need to treat them all like they were the one because you just never know. We chatted a few more minutes on the topic and changed to something else. He seemed to like my reasoning since it is TRUE! While he loves Santa, he knows the real reason we celebrate. Merry Christmas and God Bless.

Paintball
The dad's brother David loves paintball. The boy couldn't wait to get his hands on it and try. I shot first and hit the tree and the boy did the same. See his marks? The best part was that the dad's 93 year old grandma also wanted in on the action. She was a great shot back in the day and with the aid of the crutch, she hit the tree as well. I was impressed!

Cheeburger Cheeburger
We ate at the Cheeburger Cheeburger in Chattanooga. If you ever have the opportunity to go to one, GO. It is delicious. The burgers are amazing. The dad took the Cheeburger challenge and ate the 1lb. burger. That is a pound of meat plus the bun plus any toppings. The waitress wasn't too sure about his abilities but I had confidence. He tanked it in less than 8 minutes and probably could have had another. My man can eat.

Discovery Museum in Chattanooga
We had so much fun at the Discovery Museum in Chattanooga. The dad's brother (one of them!) came with us as well as his aunt and some cousins. I know that we had just as much fun as the boy did. We will definitely go back.

The Colors of Fall
Oh how I miss the beautiful colors of fall. It is the most beautiful season in Maine and having lived away from there for over 7 years now, I don't often get to see the changing of the leaves. I figured this year would be the same but lucky for me, I was wrong. Thank you Alabama and Tennessee for supplying me with such vivid and beautiful colors. I am usually a lover of the red but I can't get over the yellow that the tree below produced. AMAZING!

Pow Wow Party (Thanksgiving party)
The boy had lots of fun on his last day of school before Thanksgiving break. The whole grade had a party and the kids went from room to room to do different crafts and sing songs. We all had a good time.
All decked out for the class party!

Waiting for his Thanksgiving feast with some classmates!

My attempt at Turkey cupcakes!

The boy learning a part in the song!

Playing the drums and singing along!

Beading his necklace!

The whole tribe!
